In 2024, HHO adopted a strategic vision focused on "Water Justice," directing resources to areas facing the dual challenges of rapid population growth and acute climate change, ensuring every individual in remote communities exercises their right to safe and affordable drinking water.

Operational Methodology: Green Innovation and Smart Response

HHO has evolved its 2024 operational framework to include:

• Solar Technology Localization: Implementing solar power systems and modern water pumps to ensure continuous water supply and reduce carbon emissions in alignment with climate action.

• Structural Reclamation and Rehabilitation: Focusing on reviving existing water sources to ensure resource efficiency and long-term sustainability.

• Targeted Geographical Response: Concentrating operational weight on Al-Hudaydah Governorate, identified as the region most affected by "water poverty" and extreme temperatures.

Field Impact Map in Al-Hudaydah Governorate (Tihama)

HHO’s interventions in 2024 achieved a tangible impact on the lives of over 6,780 beneficiary households through the following:

I. Emergency Response in Ad Durayhimi District

In one of the most underserved areas, the organization supported, equipped, and repaired 7 strategic water wells covering (Al-Bahadira, Al-Jarwanah, Al-Bukayriyah, Ad-Dahaniyah, Al-Qabasiyah, Al-Marahib, and Al-Hawatiyah).

• Impact: Secured clean drinking water for 1,785 households, contributing to a decrease in waterborne diseases and easing the water-fetching burden on women and children.

II. Expansion in City Outskirts and Displacement Zones (Al-Jah & Ghulayfiqah)

As part of the field expansion plan, HHO implemented a large-scale project involving the rehabilitation and equipping of 28 water wells distributed across the outskirts of Al-Hudaydah City, Al-Jah, and Ghulayfiqah.

• Impact: Reached 4,995 beneficiary households, providing a sustainable life source in areas suffering from resource scarcity and limited access to basic services.
