In response to the ongoing and worsening humanitarian crisis, Ayadi Insaniyah for Relief and Sustainable Development adopted a multi-layered protection strategy throughout 2024 aimed at addressing critical gaps in food security and basic needs. The organization prioritized interventions targeting the most vulnerable groups, including internally displaced persons in camps, orphans, and families living below the poverty line, while maintaining a strong commitment to delivering assistance in line with human dignity standards and logistical efficiency to ensure timely and appropriate access for beneficiaries.

Food Security and Emergency Nutrition Support

The organization diversified its food assistance modalities to address both immediate and sustained needs of affected communities, including:

• Integrated Food Baskets: A total of 402 comprehensive food baskets containing essential food items were distributed, providing household stability for several weeks. The distribution covered a wide geographic scope across multiple Yemeni governorates.

• Ready-to-Eat Meals for Displaced Populations: In response to urgent needs in displacement sites, the organization distributed 1,596 ready-to-eat meals, directly targeting families in the camps of (Dharwan, Al-Hawari, and Al-Raqah), as well as the communities of (Ahfad Bilal and Al-Mahwa), ensuring immediate nutritional support amid harsh displacement conditions.

• Community Kitchens: Operational and logistical support was provided to 8 community kitchens, enabling the continued production and daily distribution of meals. This intervention benefited 4,810 households.

Comprehensive Care and Child Protection (Orphans Sector)

The organization places orphan protection at the core of its humanitarian mandate through an integrated care approach that extends beyond food assistance to include education and shelter:

• Institutional Support to Orphanages: Comprehensive support was delivered to 8 orphan care centers and institutions, including food supplies, clothing, and essential educational materials. This support contributed to stabilizing the living and educational conditions of 1,947 orphaned boys and girls.

• Sustainable Shelter Projects: In pursuit of safe and stable living environments, the organization completed the construction of an orphans’ residence in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, representing a strategic step toward strengthening family and community-based protection for this vulnerable group.

Cash Assistance and Seasonal Support

The organization empowers families to meet their specific needs through direct and seasonal assistance programs:

• Cash Transfers: Direct cash assistance was provided to 36 highly vulnerable beneficiaries, offering flexibility to meet urgent living and medical needs.

• Eid Al-Adha Qurbani Project: As one of the organization’s largest seasonal response initiatives, 220 sacrificial animals were slaughtered and distributed across the governorates of (Sana’a, Aden, Al-Hodeidah, Hajjah, Raymah, and Amran). The project reached more than 6,900 families, strengthening social solidarity and bringing joy to vulnerable households during Eid.

Logistical Methodology and Access Assurance

In 2024, the organization significantly enhanced its logistical support systems by improving supply chains and field assessment mechanisms to ensure aid reached eligible beneficiaries in remote areas and hard-to-access displacement camps. Field monitoring was also strengthened to ensure the quality of distributed food and non-food items and their compliance with international humanitarian standards.
